Our department is responsible for ensuring Desjardins has modern, secure and accessible analysis platforms. These platforms help Desjardins be more agile in achieving its business objectives for members and clients. Our department is actively involved in upgrading our SAS platforms to the new SAS Viya version and in running the SAS Grid platforms. As a data valorization analyst, you collect and valorize data that comes through different channels. You extract, describe, analyze and interpret the data needed to make informed business decisions. You assist clients on analytics development initiatives that involve using data and designing reports tailored to business needs. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields to understand needs and present and explain analysis results. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Identify and analyze user needs, work on data valorization initiatives, and ensure operationalization through the cross-sector coordination required.
  • Build and develop complex reports and dashboards using database management systems.
  • Prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the orientations of the many sectors we serve (Risk management. Marketing, Personal and Business services).
  • Identify opportunities to improve methods and processes, and recommend improvements to data management tools.
  • Conduct research and descriptive and diagnostic analysis to ensure optimal data use. Make recommendations in line with business issues and needs.
  • Act as a data mining resource person for various practitioners.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in data analysis and visualization
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query and DAX
  • Knowledge of how to use the SAS platform to support operations
  • Knowledge of SQL
