dcbel at the leading edge of the residential energy revolution, enabling decentralized energy consumption and production through its vertically integrated suite of energy hardware and software products, and their supporting infrastructure. Our flagship product, the dcbel Home Energy Station, is a small wall mounted device that gives everyone ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and home, unlocking their EV’s battery for backup power (V2H), and optimizing the energy flow between their solar panels, EVs, backup battery and the grid.

The opportunity

dcbel is looking for an AI Systems Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing AI systems and applications to enhance dcbel's technology offerings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative AI solutions that align with business objectives and customer needs.

Main responsibilities

  • Analyze the AI needs of the organization and propose innovative solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain AI systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop AI models.
  • Integrate AI solutions to existing technologies
  • Perform data mining and apply machine learning techniques.
  • Perform testing and quality assurance of AI applications and systems.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in AI.
  • Train and educate staff about the potential and practical applications of AI.
  • Ensure the ethical use of AI and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Document and explain AI solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Optimize existing AI applications and systems for improved performance and functionality.

Key requirements

  • University degree in Software Engineering or equivalent post-secondary education and/or experience required.
  • 10+ years of experience working with AI software development languages such as C# and Python
  • Proficiency in machine learning libraries and algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.

Bonus skills

  • Bilingual English and French
