Advanced Software Engineer

As an Advanced Software Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you'll work on cutting-edge projects that directly enhance the efficiency, reliability, and safety of aviation systems worldwide. Work within Satcom Engineering and play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating highly advanced software solutions that power Honeywell Aerospace's most innovative aerospace technologies

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Kanata location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the design and development of software that meets the highest standards of performance and reliability, contributing to the advancement of aerospace technologies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and implement advanced software solutions for Satcom applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Drive innovation through prototyping and evaluating new tools and methodologies to enhance development processes.

 The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.

Qualifications 

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• 3 years of experience in Satcom software development and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• 2 years of experience with aerospace systems and technologies, including embedded systems and real-time software.

• Experience in leading software development projects within the aerospace industry.
• Familiarity with aerospace cybersecurity standards and Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) activities required for product certification

• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $XXXXXXXX - $XXXXXX in Kanata, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
