This Position reports to:
Area Sales Manager - Western RegionIn this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the account strategy that is focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Each day, you will coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects, and manage the resolution of specific customer problems. You will also showcase your expertise by giving input on market price developments and tendencies.
The work model for the role is: onsite and this position is a replacement of a current role.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Drive Mining business growth through integrity, safety, customer focus, and collaboration.
- Develop and execute account plans and growth initiatives to expand business opportunities.
- Understand customer business drivers, risks, and challenges to identify ABB growth opportunities.
- Define sales strategies, targets, pricing approaches, and competitive response plans.
- Exceed orders, revenue, and gross margin targets through account penetration and share-of-wallet growth.
- Engage key stakeholders (end users, OEMs, EPCs/EPCMs, operations, procurement, and leadership) to develop and win opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional ABB teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, resolve issues, and strengthen relationships.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and CRM discipline while collaborating on strategic pursuits, proposals, and market visibility initiatives.
Qualifications for the role
- Engineering, Technology, or Project Management background with experience in industrial or mining environments.
- 6-8+ years of sales experience, including exposure to mining automation, electrification, and related applications.
- Experience with large-scale project engineering, execution, and construction, including technical proposal development.
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems (DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI) and digital solutions; electrical systems knowledge is an asset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills with a results-driven mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, SAP, and business/financial processes, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $107,625 and 157,850 annually and is bonus eligible.
