Provides electronic maintenance and technical support for complex navigation, surveillance, communications, and air traffic management systems. The trainee works onsite in a bilingual environment, receives career-long training, supports safety-critical air navigation services, troubleshoots equipment, and performs related duties. A recognized technical diploma or degree, valid driver’s license, physical lifting ability, English and French proficiency, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and safety awareness are required. Some travel is required.

Leads CNS technical services, including team leadership, workforce planning, training, system integrity, regulatory compliance, project implementation, technology deployment, budgeting, procurement, and operational resource management. The role coordinates large-scale initiatives with internal teams, contractors, airports, air traffic control facilities, unions, and national stakeholders while ensuring safe, reliable air transportation operations.

Responsible for coordinating safe, efficient air traffic flow in the Montreal Flight Information Region. Roles include Area (IFR) and Tower (VFR) controllers. NAV CANADA provides paid training (12–27 months) and on‑the‑job instruction. Candidates must be bilingual, meet medical/security/drug-screen requirements, be willing to relocate within the region, and complete a rigorous selection process including cognitive testing and assessment centre activities.
