Lead reliability and implementation for Kong's Managed Gateways: design and operate multi-cloud, Kubernetes-based systems, own incident response and SLOs, automate CI/CD and IaC, mentor SREs, and drive enterprise customer onboarding and technical implementations.

The Staff Design Technologist will oversee AI-enabled design workflows, bridging design and engineering, driving UI cohesion, and raising craft standards for technical product experiences.

Build and maintain backend microservices in Golang for authentication and authorization. Design scalable APIs, deploy services on AWS and Kubernetes, implement secure high-volume access control, write tests, participate in on-call rotation, collaborate on design and reviews, and monitor and optimize performance and reliability.
