Flexibility Options

Cargill approaches flexible work arrangements by leveraging digital employee experience platforms to foster connection across teams, while designing workplaces that foster open communication and collaboration. Many employees at corporate hubs benefit from hybrid work options, typically reporting to the office three or more times per week. By combining hybrid schedules with digital tools, Cargill ensures employees can stay connected and productive while supporting work-life balance. This flexibility is balanced with the company’s commitment to operational excellence, as many employees work onsite to power production plants that keep food moving to store shelves and family tables.

Employees highlight office gatherings, community involvement, and recognition programs as evidence of a strong local office culture. Leadership reinforces this approach by providing advanced collaboration technology, setting clear expectations, and creating meaningful, engaging experiences for their teams.

Mental Health Support

Cargill promoted a global employee pledge during Mental Health Awareness Month, reaching over 53,000 global employees as colleagues engaged with the initiative to support mental health for themselves and others; the company offered free counseling, therapy sessions, and assistance in finding mental health practitioners through their Employee Assistance Program (EAP); provided leaders with mental health awareness training; shared regional mental health resources; and introduced a virtual physical therapy and personalized exercise program for eligible U.S. employees—demonstrating a meaningful investment in employee well-being with accessible resources for all global employees.

Cargill also provides free, confidential mental health programs for employees and their families; delivers training and resources to help identify and address personal needs; offers a Global EAP with services such as stress management, legal assistance, and financial coaching; and ensures paid time off to rest and recharge with flexible options to manage day-to-day life.

Employees report that these programs give them comprehensive support for their overall well-being. Leadership reinforces this commitment by integrating well-being goals into the global benefits strategy, hosting events during Mental Health Awareness Month, and regularly sharing mental health and well-being resources across all regions.
