Represents clients in complex tax controversies and disputes, serving as liaison with tax authorities. Develops resolution strategies, prepares legal submissions and opinions, manages engagements, budgets, and files, and supports business development. The role also includes mentoring junior legal professionals, collaborating across service lines, and advising clients throughout audits, objections, appeals, and litigation.

Performs and plans assurance engagements for private, public, and nonprofit clients. Ensures compliance with professional standards and firm policies, resolves accounting and client issues, applies industry knowledge, and delivers high-quality client service. The role requires collaboration, analytical problem-solving, communication, and continued professional development.

Leads expatriate tax services, including Canadian and U.S. individual tax return preparation and review, expatriate tax advice, tax research, executive compensation and global equity consulting. Provides team guidance and training, supports practice development, collaborates with partners nationally, and contributes to business development and client service growth.
