The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Technologies - Canada team plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the core business systems that power TELUS Health’s operations in North America, LATAM, Europe and the APAC region. We've successfully integrated 6 entities into Workday within the last two years, demonstrating our ability to handle complex, large-scale projects. The scope of our team spans system requirements gathering, configuration, security management and integration development. We do this by maintaining a highly collaborative environment that embraces a growth mindset. Our team directly influences TELUS's ability to efficiently manage its workforce, financial operations, and business growth through acquisitions. We're not just maintaining systems - we're actively shaping TELUS's future technology landscape through strategic system transitions and integrations.
As a Workday Specialist, you will be a vital member of our team leading the support and optimization of our Workday applications across Professional Services Automation (PSA), Finance, and Human Capital Management (HCM) modules. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders across TELUS, including People & Culture and Finance to address Workday change requests with agility. Your role involves gathering critical requirements while innovating solutions by performing Workday Community research and engaging in collaborative brainstorming sessions with our team. Through implementing precise configuration updates and crafting insightful reports, you will help drive data-informed decisions that enhance our Workday ecosystem.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and functionality within Workday
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across PSA, Finance, and HCM functions
- Provide technical solutions and recommendations for business process improvements
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Workday reports using various reporting tools (Advanced Reports, Custom Reports, Calculated Fields)
- Analyze, modify, and optimize business process frameworks (BPFs) to improve efficiency
- Configure and troubleshoot Workday integrations, ensuring seamless data flow between systems (depending on experience)
- Support system testing, validation, and deployment of Workday updates
What you bring
- 3+ years of experience with Workday, specifically in Report Writing for HCM and Finance (including PSA) modules
- Strong expertise in Workday reporting tools and methodologies (basic custom reports, matrix reports, composite reports) as well as excel and data analysis tools
- Experience with Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Report Writer and Workday Business Process Framework (BPF)
- Valued for your understanding of Workday Security
- Knowledge of business process configuration and optimization
- Proven track record in requirements gathering and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving / technical solutioning abilities
- Known for your ability to anticipate downstream implications of decisions
- Respected for your strong attention to detail and project management capabilities
- Ability to work cross-colaboratively and manage various stakeholders
- Bachelors degree

- Change management experience
