Alteryx is searching for a VP, Product Management (Core App Services & Canvases). This position U.S.-based, remote-friendly role; collaboration with engineering, UX, and PM teams in the U.S., Australia, Prague, and India is expected.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Vice President of Product Management to lead our Core App Services and Canvases teams—the groups responsible for our unified app shell, onboarding, and analyst workflow experiences including Prep & Blend. This role is pivotal in reimagining how analysts interact with data: unifying fragmented experiences, modernizing the Prep & Blend canvas for an AI-first world, and driving seamless integration with cloud data platforms like Databricks and BigQuery. Equally important, this leader will be accountable for accelerating the path from first touch to value—ensuring new users quickly experience success and convert into active, long-term customers. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this VP will serve as a core member of the product leadership team and a key interface to the executive staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Drive the unification of Alteryx's user experience, delivering a cohesive platform that empowers analysts.
Product Vision: Reimagine core prep and blend functionalities to align with modern data workflows and AI-driven interfaces.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 4 Directors, each overseeing 5-7 Product Managers, fostering a culture of innovation and customer-centricity.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the 'conductor of the orchestra,' collaborating extensively with UX, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, SE, and CX teams to deliver a complete product experience.
Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather insights, validate product strategies, and ensure alignment with market needs.
Executive Communication: Present product strategies and updates to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) monthly and participate in quarterly board preparations.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive product management experience within the software space, particularly in user experience-focused roles.
5+ years in a leadership role, developing and managing high performing teams across multiple geographies.
Strong understanding of cloud data platforms and their integration into analytics workflows (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to drive product unification and transformation initiatives.
Product led growth mindset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven experience in building collaborative working relationships with teams across the organization.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The salary range for this role in the United States is $310,000 - $345,00.
Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, such as a bonus or commission, medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
