The UX Designer for the Petro-Pass App will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and visually compelling user experiences for both B2C and B2B audiences. While the primary focus will be on the Petro-Pass mobile app, this role will also support other internal and externally facing digital systems that serve our commercial customers. Success in this position requires cross-platform adaptability, designing seamlessly for mobile (iOS and Android) and web, and a deep sense of empathy for commercial customer needs, ensuring solutions work effectively for multiple user types and operational contexts. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, developers, and other designers to deliver experiences that are functional, consistent with our design system, and enhance the overall Petro-Pass and commercial customer digital ecosystem.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or related field
3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, including mobile and web interface design
Proven track record designing for both consumer (B2C) and business (B2B) audiences
Experience designing for external customer and internal operational workflows
Demonstrated cross-platform adaptability—ability to design seamlessly for both mobile apps and web-based tools.
Proficiency in Figma with hands-on experience working within and enhancing a design system
Proficiency with UX research tools (e.g., Userlytics, UserTesting, or similar)
Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for data-driven design decision-making
Design user-centered experiences for the Petro-Pass mobile app, related web interfaces, and other internal or externally facing systems supporting commercial customers
Translate complex B2B and B2C requirements into intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing designs across multiple platforms
Collaborate with product, development, and business stakeholders to create wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs
Leverage and enhance our design system to ensure visual and functional consistency, while contributing improvements and new components
Conduct and analyze UX research using tools like Userlytics or similar to inform design decisions
Incorporate GA4 analytics insights into design iteration to improve usability and conversion
Create responsive web designs for internal tools, external customer portals, and commercial-facing platforms
Facilitate usability testing and stakeholder reviews to validate design solutions
Stay current with UX trends, mobile and web best practices, and accessibility standards
This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
