This Position reports to:

Sales Support Manager
 

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids/estimations/quotations for Drives based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and the expected margin level for the Company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations with the best product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations, ensuring timely, detailed proposals that include full and accurate costs.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Motion High Power in Canada.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Calculating a budget value for the sales team or customer to evaluate customer willingness to invest using appropriate level of details.

  • Managing the preparation of all technical and commercial documentation (e.g. defining the most suitable technology and product type(s)), financial (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis), indicating prices and trading conditions.

  • Collaborates with sales teams and engages with customers when required.

  • Ensuring that, in accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, inputs for editing activities are provided on time and follow established quality procedures.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are highly skilled in tendering and bid preparation, with hands-on experience working with RFQs, technical specifications, pricing, and commercial documentation in Variable Speed Drives.

  • You have 5+ years of experience in tendering, bidding, or commercial proposal management.

  • Proficient in ERP systems, CRM tools, and MS Office, including Salesforce, with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines.

  • You demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills, with a proactive and commercially focused mindset.

  • College or University degree recognized in Canada (Electrical Engineering)
