We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Recruiter with a proven track record in both technical and business recruiting to join our Talent Acquisition team. This is a critical role that will play a pivotal part in establishing our presence in Canada by identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent across a diverse range of functions. You will be instrumental in building out our engineering, product, sales, operations, and corporate teams in the Canadian market.
In this role you will:
Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for a variety of roles, from initial intake meetings with hiring managers to offer negotiation and closing.
Specialize in sourcing and attracting highly skilled technical professionals, including Software Engineers (frontend, backend, full-stack), Data Scientists, Product Managers, and other related roles.
Recruit for a broad spectrum of business functions, such as Sales (Account Executives, Sales Managers), Operations (Underwriting, Collections), and other corporate roles.
Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive candidates through various channels.
Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding.
Provide insights into the Canadian talent market, including salary trends, competitor landscapes, and talent availability.
Build strong relationships with hiring managers and department heads, acting as a trusted advisor on recruitment best practices, market insights, and talent strategy.
Act as an ambassador for our brand in the Canadian market, effectively communicating our company culture, values, and employee value proposition.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Experience with Ashby is a plus.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in all recruitment efforts, ensuring a diverse pipeline of candidates.
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with Canadian employment laws and regulations (e.g., AODA, human rights legislation)

4+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, with a significant portion dedicated to both technical and business roles.
Proven experience recruiting specifically within the Canadian market, with a strong understanding of local talent pools, recruitment trends, and employment laws.
Demonstrated success in sourcing passive candidates using a variety of tools and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers at all levels.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
A strong understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation in Canada.
Self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience recruiting for a rapidly scaling startup or growth-stage company.
Familiarity with specific Canadian provinces' employment laws (e.g., Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec).
