We're hiring a Technical Recruiter for a 6-month term to help us keep pace with our growing team. You'll own the full recruitment lifecycle for your assigned roles, from partnering with hiring managers on requirements, through sourcing, screening, and interviewing, to making hire recommendations, while delivering a great experience for every candidate along the way. Whether you're building your in-house recruiting career or ready to move on from agency recruiting into a true team environment, we'd love to hear from you.  This is a remote role but we will only be accepting candidates from Edmonton at this time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles, from intake through to the onboarding stage
  • Partner directly with hiring managers to gather requirements and build a sourcing strategy for new and open positions
  • Identify and engage qualified external and internal candidates through networking, referrals, and platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Screen resumes and pre-screen candidates to confirm fit before advancing them in the process
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews, evaluating candidates against BIG's core values
  • Make hiring recommendations and act as the subject matter expert on recruiting best practices
  • Maintain candidate relationships after hire to support a strong onboarding experience
  • Post and manage open roles through our applicant tracking system

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience in IT consulting organizations that work with Enterprise Clients doing software development 
  • Exceptional time to fill track record
  • Proven ability to independently manage high-volume recruiting for hard-to-fill roles
  • Solid understanding of staffing, recruiting, and operations practices
  • Sound judgment and the highest level of confidentiality
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-service orientation
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable in a highly autonomous environment
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy
  • Interest and ability to leverage AI tools such as Claude Co-work to complete tasks more efficiently
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada for any employer without sponsorship
