What your weeks are going to look like:
- Analyze memory and performance issues throughout the project;
- Create efficient shaders and materials to texture characters, environments, and visual effects;
- Optimize and automate graphic processes and production pipelines to improve real-time performance; and team efficiency;
- Create and maintain scripts and tools used by artists in the Unreal game engine or 3D software;
- Collaborate closely with programmers to develop new game features;
- Work proactively with leads and directors to find solutions to efficiency challenges;
- Continuously explore new approaches to improve game quality.
What we're looking for :
- Bachelor’s degree in arts, computer science, 3D, or equivalent;
- Approximately five (5) years of experience in the video game industry;
- Advanced knowledge of game constraints and performance management (memory, GPU, CPU);
- Experience with the Unreal game engine;
- Proficiency with Houdini and Blender;
- Knowledge of at least one of the following scripting languages: Python, C++, MEL, and/or HLSL;
- Available to travel internationally when required;
- English proficiency is required, as we collaborate with English-speaking partners.
