Join our team at the Montreal Refinery!We’re seeking a Shift Supervisor who embodies Suncor’s core values and can ensure the safe and reliable operation of our refinery. In this role, you’ll also represent management outside of regular business hours, playing a key part in maintaining operational excellence.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of prevention and maintenance processes and procedures
Good knowledge of the collective agreement
Ability to lead and motivate a work team (leadership and coaching)
Team worker with an ability to develop interpersonal relationships
Technical and operational experience in the petrochemical field.
Good understanding of production planning and strategies
Ability to prioritize and track industry performance indicators
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills in French, written and spoken
Good organizational skills and a professional conscience
Courage to act, autonomy, motivation, imagination and resourcefulness
Ability to adapt to change and ability to work under pressure
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creating a safe and environmentally friendly work environment
Supervise a team of technicians in an area of the Refinery
Create a culture of operational excellence on your team
Fostering collaboration and creating an inclusive and respectful workplace
Ensure the application of processes, rules and procedures
Ensure the support and development of your team
Communicate diplomatically with the community and authorities when required
Propose and implement ideas for improvement
Coordinate the emergency response team during events on their shift
Location and other Key Details:
You will work out of our Montréal Refinery, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
Hours of work are rotating day and night 12-hour shifts (work schedule 4-5-5-4)
