Job Description SummaryAs part of the Hydro Value Chain team, the Systems & Products Value Analyst is focused on supporting cost improvement and productivity across the value chain. In this role, he/she will help Systems & Products Value Managers and functional experts pilot cost saving initiatives and close productivity gaps, from ideation to execution, ensuring savings objectives are deployed consistently through Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) and Order-to-Remittance (OTR) phases.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and develop a deep understanding of Hydro systems and products in every aspect (designs, commodity structures, fabrications and industrial schemes, site installation, costs) to identify and quantify areas for productivity improvement.

  • Support the cost savings initiative across the value chain (Design to Installation), from cost saving ideations to implementation in execution.

  • Participate to ideation workshops with Systems & Products Value Managers and Functional Experts to identify sources of cost inefficiency and generate executable cost saving ideas on the total costs of ownership

  • Propose cost saving initiatives business cases, with support of Systems & Products Value Managers and Functional Experts, based on savings potential, targets, development timelines and resources allocations

  • Help Systems & Products Value Managers and Variable Costs Program Manager build road maps and actions plans to develop and deploy cost saving initiatives in both projects and tenders

  • Partner with Variable Costs Productivity Champions in the value chain organization to support consistent progress on identified saving opportunities until their implementation in execution.

  • Capture saving impacts on spending proving productivity materialization in execution

  • Promote productivity cross-functional collaboration across the value chain with ITO and OTR stakeholders

  • Collaborate with ITO Tendering Teams during costs deep dive to optimize deal offering to reach competitive costs level thanks to mature cost saving initiatives applicable in ITO.

  • Propose improvement actions across the value chain based on industry’s best practices, market standards and benchmarks with other GE Vernova businesses

  • Support the Variable Costs Program Manager and Variable Costs Program Manager to track and report cost savings funnel progress and impacts on the bottom line.

  • Follow-up Monthly Cost overruns in OTR to identify recurrent sources of non-quality impacting productivity improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain management, site installation, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

  • Fluent English (speaking, reading, and writing) due to regular interaction with regional/global stakeholders and documentation requirements.

  • Demonstrated capability to drive productivity, cost-reduction/should-cost analyses, or operational excellence in industrial, manufacturing, or utilities contexts.

  • Proven data analysis skills, with experience interpreting complex financial and operational metrics.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to plan, execute, and track productivity programs to successful completion.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.

  • Advanced proficiency with productivity and cost-tracking tools (e.g., ERP, Excel, Power BI).

  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement methodologies is a plus.

  • A combined technical and commercial background is a plus.

Candidates from Brossard/Quebec must be fluent in French and legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Aider les Systems & Products Value Managers et le Variable Costs Program Manager à construire des feuilles de route et plans d’action pour développer et déployer les initiatives d’économies dans les projets et les offres.
  • Collaborer avec les Variable Costs Productivity Champions au sein de l’organisation pour assurer une progression cohérente des opportunités d’économies jusqu’à leur mise en œuvre.
  • Mesurer l’impact des économies sur les dépenses afin de démontrer la matérialisation de la productivité en exécution.
  • Promouvoir la collaboration transversale sur les sujets de productivité entre les parties prenantes ITO et OTR.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes ITO Tendering lors des analyses approfondies de coûts afin d’optimiser les offres commerciales et atteindre des niveaux de coûts compétitifs grâce aux initiatives d’économies matures applicables en ITO.
  • Proposer des actions d’amélioration sur la chaîne de valeur en s’appuyant sur les meilleures pratiques du secteur, les standards du marché et les benchmarks avec les autres entités GE Vernova.
  • Soutenir le Variable Costs Program Manager dans le suivi et le reporting de l’avancement du funnel d’économies et de son impact sur le résultat.
  • Suivre les dépassements de coûts mensuels en OTR afin d’identifier les sources récurrentes de non‑qualité affectant l’amélioration de la productivité.

Qualifications requises

  • Diplôme universitaire en administration des affaires, ingénierie, supply chain, installation de sites ou domaine similaire, ou expérience équivalente.
  • Minimum 2 à 3 ans d’expérience en gestion de la productivité, programmes de réduction des coûts, gestion des coûts prévisionnels ou excellence opérationnelle dans les secteurs industriels, manufacturiers ou des utilities.
  • Compétences avérées en analyse de données, avec capacité à interpréter des indicateurs financiers et opérationnels complexes.

Compétences souhaitées

  • Solides capacités d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes.
  • Excellentes compétences de communication orale et écrite.
  • Capacité à planifier, exécuter et suivre des programmes de productivité jusqu’à leur aboutissement.
  • Bon relationnel et esprit collaboratif.
  • Maîtrise avancée des outils de suivi de productivité et de coûts (ERP, Excel, Power BI).
  • Expérience en Lean, Six Sigma ou autres méthodologies d’amélioration continue appréciée.
