Job Description

As a System Administrator at Ubisoft Montreal, you will be part of the Distribution team within the IT Games and Studios group. You will contribute to the operation, evolution, and automation of the infrastructure and services that support game production on internal and cloud-based platforms. This System Administrator role has a direct impact on the reliability, performance, and availability of the environments used by production teams.

 

What you’ll do

  • Ensure the operational stability of infrastructure and services in production environments
  • Work closely with production teams to understand their needs and propose appropriate technical solutions
  • Design and maintain automation scripts to reduce manual work and improve system reliability
  • Analyze codebases and automated integration and deployment pipelines to diagnose and resolve complex incidents
  • Implement and evolve monitoring and system health tracking solutions
  • Promote operations automation and continuous improvement of system management practices
  • Take part in a shared on-call support rotation for critical services
  • Continuously improve system performance, resilience, and availability

 

Qualifications

What you bring to the team

  • Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux environments, including service and application hosting
  • Knowledge of automated integration and deployment processes, including tools such as GitLab
  • Strong skills in programming and scripting, for example using Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Ruby
  • Experience with containerization and service orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Knowledge of automated infrastructure and configuration management tools
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems using a structured and methodical approach
  • Strong communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
