About Engineered Arts
Engineered Arts is a hardware-first pioneer reinventing humanoid robotics for the next era of intelligent machines. We move fast, obsess over technical excellence, and work hand-in-hand with engineering and operations to scale breakthrough products and global revenue.
We’re hiring a Strategic Finance Manager to own FP&A and the company financial models, lead investor-ready fundraising financials for Series B and follow-on rounds, and partner with the executive team and cross-functional leaders to translate operational drivers into forecasts, KPIs, and high-impact strategic recommendations as we scale internationally.
The Role — What You’ll Do
- Own the financial model and FP&A function: design, build, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s core financial model to support planning, forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision-making.
- Lead fundraising financial preparation: create investor-ready financial models, build pitch materials for Series B and follow-on rounds, support diligence requests, and present financials to investors and the leadership team.
- Operational partnering: work closely with operations, product, sales, manufacturing, and supply chain to translate operational drivers into financial forecasts and KPIs.
- International & hardware accounting: manage and advise on accounting and reporting considerations for international operations and hardware revenue/cost recognition (inventory, COGS, CapEx, depreciation, multi-currency consolidation).
- Strategic analysis: provide leadership with ad hoc and recurring analysis (unit economics, margin bridge, pricing scenarios, cash runway, capital allocation).
- Process & controls: improve FP&A processes, automate reporting, and implement best practices for financial governance across the business.
- Investor relations & board support: prepare board decks, financial narratives, and materials for board and investor meetings.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics and a minimum of 5 years of experience required.
- Quantitative modelling experience: expert-level Excel financial modelling skills with a history of building large, dynamic models for forecasting, fundraising, and scenario analysis.
- FP&A & Strategic focus: demonstrated experience owning and operating strategic FP&A in a high-growth environment.
- Fundraising experience: direct involvement in preparing pitch materials and financial models for late-seed / Series A / Series B fundraising (Series B experience strongly preferred).
- International accounting experience: hands-on knowledge of multi-currency consolidation, inter-company, and cross-border accounting considerations.
- Hardware accounting experience: experience with revenue recognition, inventory accounting, COGS, CapEx and depreciation relevant to hardware companies.
- Analytical pedigree: strong quantitative and analytical background — comfortable with large datasets, sensitivity analysis, and rigorous scenario planning.
- Communication & investor-ready storytelling: able to translate complex financials into crisp, persuasive pitch materials and executive-level presentations.
- Start-up experience nice to have.
- Familiarity with GAAP and IFRS differences relevant to international reporting.
