About the role

Our Learning & Development - Design and Innovation team is looking for a Senior Technology and Innovation Consultant Learning & Development!

In the L&D Design and Innovation team, we are dedicated to offering an optimal learning experience for all employees across Canada through cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions. Our mission is to design high-quality e-learning experiences, manage and maintain a dynamic learning ecosystem, and measure the success and impact of our learning initiatives on both individuals and the organization. We are also responsible for the technical development of all Tech + Lab employees, ensuring they stay ahead in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as the Sr. Technology and Innovation Consultant – Learning & Development. This person will be the driving force behind the learning culture and the technical upskilling of our Tech + Labs teams. They will also collaborate the various leadership teams, identify needs, gaps, and opportunities, collaborate with our stakeholders to curate and identify learning solutions.

What you’ll do here:

  • Build and nurture relationships with Tech + Lab to design and drive upskilling and cross-skilling strategies aligned with their goals and strategic initiatives.

  • Partner with Strategy and Leadership Development Experience Design and Leadership Development Facilitation teams to create cohesive and integrated learning experiences.

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive engagement with our learning ecosystem.

  • Measure and report on the success and impact of learning and development initiatives using data-driven insights.

  • Influence the direction of various L&D projects to support strategic objectives and deliverables.

  • Collaborate with experts to build innovative learning solutions, prototypes, and concepts.

  • Act as point of contact and take accountability for business relationships related to IT team training, and influence key stakeholders.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the needs of the specific roles, issues and objectives of each Tech + Lab business unit by building strong and stable business relationships.

  • Develop learning strategies and solutions to meet the evolving needs of IT professionals and assess their impact.

  • Recommend, design, develop, select and maintain various solutions and initiatives related to the technical training of Tech + Lab teams.

  • Perform needs analyses and identify training opportunities for Tech + Lab teams.

  • Organize, participate in and lead meetings with resource persons required to execute the training strategy, when required.

  • Help develop communication strategy recommendations to highlight Tech + Lab skills development opportunities.

  • Build adapted learning paths using the solutions provided by different platforms and content sources.

  • Demonstrate the impact of training initiatives and the growth in competency of IT staff using various databases.

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT learning and development (L&D), or as an IT business analyst, or in human resources, or in organizational development.

  • University degree in computer science, education or human resources or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.

  • Solid understanding of the different roles within an IT team.

  • Good understanding of Azure, DevOps, automation, IT architecture, UI/UX, etc.

  • Ability to work in a changing environment and with multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Ability to express technical terminology in non-technical language and vice-versa.

  • Knowledge of the application and process environments at Intact: an asset.

  • Knowledge of principles related to the development of learning solutions will be considered a major asset.

  • You must have a strong interest in keeping up with rapid technological change.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to influence and drive change across multiple teams and stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships.

  • Success-driven and objective-oriented.

  • Good knowledge of various technologies leveraged in a learning experience.

  • Experience with LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight, OverDrive, or similar platforms is a plus.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country. 

  • No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
