What You Will Do
- Lead engineering activities for complex product transfers, including equipment design, build, supplier technical alignment, commissioning, process development, and validation readiness.
- Direct project execution using formal project management tools to deliver engineering milestones within defined scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets.
- Serve as the primary technical interface and escalation point for suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve complex technical, regulatory, and scheduling issues.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, regulatory, and delivery risks; lead technical reviews and escalate data‑based decisions to senior leadership when required.
- Coordinate cross‑functional execution with Research and Development, Manufacturing Operations, Production Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Facilities, Finance, and Continuous Improvement.
- Establish engineering priorities and track progress using structured schedules, dashboards, and project reporting.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers across multiple projects, acting as a functional reference for product transfer and manufacturing technology.
- Manage innovation engineering project reporting, capital planning inputs, budget justification, and capital spend tracking against financial targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering and technical project leadership.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting new product introduction or product transfer in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading engineering execution involving capital equipment and manufacturing process implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Engineering Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or food manufacturing.
- Proficiency with project planning and reporting tools, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project scheduling software.

- Puerto Rico: $89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual
