The Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of
project delivery through to final closure and ensures approval of deliverables.
They contribute to resource management to achieve objectives within defined
timelines and budgets.
The role involves organizing, directing, and controlling the
human, material, financial, and technological resources essential for
delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects. The Project Manager is
responsible for the project plan and acts as the central point for all
contributors involved in delivery (sponsor, managers, and contributors),
leveraging strong planning and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop
and manage a comprehensive project plan, considering challenges,
complexity, stakeholders, and alignment with other projects, while
ensuring consistency with the sponsor’s business objectives
- In
collaboration with various contributors, ensure deliverables meet business
objectives and value creation goals while respecting agreed timelines and
budgets
- Oversee
and coordinate internal and external contributors (integrators or others)
involved in project delivery
- Approve
resource-related change requests and ensure quality control, governance,
and adherence to project methodologies
- Conduct
risk analysis, assess impacts, and define mitigation strategies to manage
overall project risk
- Provide
consolidated reporting and status updates to the sponsor, steering
committee, and other decision-making bodies

- 10+
years of relevant experience in project management within large-scale
environments
- Experience
managing external vendors
- Prior
experience with Mouvement Desjardins projects (strong asset)
- PMP
/ MGP / ACP certifications
- Experience
in financial organizations offering products and solutions to businesses
- Experience
in business projects impacting products and services within the target
sector
- General
understanding of treasury operations in large financial institutions
