Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role:

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Manager of Samsara’s Campaign Operations team to lead and scale our global campaign execution engine. In this role, you will oversee the team responsible for the "last mile" of our marketing strategy—building, testing, and launching multi-channel campaigns that drive our growth.

As a senior people leader, you will do more than manage a queue of tickets. You will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, influencing the broader marketing function, and building the team needed to execute on our long-term roadmap. You will bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy, ensuring we balance speed with the rigor of a high-performing enterprise organization.

This role is open to candidates residing in Canada.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact – helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.

In this role, you will:

Team Leadership & Strategy

    • Build and Develop the Team: Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team. Empower your team members to gather and interpret data to make informed decisions, fostering a culture of intellectual honesty.
    • Influence the Function: Act as a strategic partner to Demand Generation, Lifecycle, and Field Marketing leaders. You will influence the broader function on campaign feasibility, prioritization, and best practices, ensuring we build the team and capabilities needed to execute on the strategy.
    • Champion Operational Excellence: Set high standards for execution quality across the team by embracing our "Keep a High Bar" operating principle. You will champion operational excellence, ensuring your team consistently exceeds expectations in accuracy, transparency, and delivery.
    • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Process Optimization & Workflow

    • Streamline Cross-Team Processes: Actively demonstrate our operating principle of "Eliminate Bureaucracy" by streamlining cross-team processes and workflows. You will identify bottlenecks between Campaign Ops and stakeholder teams and remove obstacles to collaboration.
    • Risk Management: "Work Backwards from Winning" by identifying, assessing, and mitigating both operational and strategic risks within the team and function. You will ensure we have the right internal communications, QA, and compliance (GDPR/CAN-SPAM) safeguards in place.
    • Drive Agility: Foster a sense of urgency within the team. Role-model the importance of balancing speed (to meet market demand) and quality (to protect the customer experience) in delivering results.

Technical & Analytical Leadership

    • AI & Innovation: Drive further AI maturity across Campaign Operations processes. You will identify and implement operational improvements embedding AI in the way work is accomplished to accelerate campaign production, segmentation, and business impact.
    • Root Cause Analysis: Promote critical thinking. When challenges arise, you will support the team in conducting root cause analysis to solve systemic issues rather than applying quick fixes.
    • Performance & Tools: Develop and implement tools and resources to enhance ramping and sustained team performance, ensuring new hires can master our stack (Marketo, Iterable, Salesforce, Hightouch, Zoom, etc.) quickly.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Demand Generation or similar Global Service Center, with 3+ years of direct people management experience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with deep hands-on experience in Marketing Automation (Marketo/Iterable), CRM (Salesforce), and CDP platforms (Hightouch or similar); provide technical leadership and troubleshoot complex issues to guide and support the team.
  • Process Leadership: Managed high-volume global campaign operations, overseeing end-to-end processes including intake, build, QA, and reporting to ensure efficient execution and quality delivery.
  • Data Fluency: Analyzed operational metrics (SLA adherence, error rates, capacity planning) and campaign performance data (Open Rate, CTR, CTOR, Pipe:MQL, etc.) to inform strategic decisions and optimize resource allocation.
  • Collaboration: Fostered cross-functional collaboration to solve complex challenges, streamline workflows, and improve overall marketing operations efficiency.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Marketo Certified Expert or equivalent technical certifications.
  • Experience managing remote or distributed teams across different time zones (e.g., supporting members based in NA, EMEA, and LATAM).
  • Experience leading change management initiatives, such as transitioning operational responsibilities or implementing new intake platforms.
  • Proficiency with related stack tools such as Hightouch, Airtable, Gumloop, Allgood, Litmus, and Contentful.

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.
