The Senior FP&A Analyst will perform financial analysis, develop business strategies, conduct P&L analysis, and collaborate across departments to enhance financial performance and support decision-making.
The Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) plays a critical role in shaping our business strategy through deep financial analysis and insights. This individual will be a trusted business partner, applying expertise in variance analysis, strategic financial planning, and profit and loss (P&L) dynamics to support decision-making across the organization. Success in this role depends on strong collaboration, proactive financial insight, and the ability to drive meaningful business outcomes through analysis and communication.
What you'll do:
- Business Partnering & Strategic Influence
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and financial impacts.
- Act as a trusted advisor to department leaders, leveraging financial analysis to shape and influence business strategies.
- Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear, actionable manner, ensuring stakeholders across the business can make informed decisions.
- Conduct thorough income statement and P&L analysis, ensuring a deep understanding of revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability drivers.
- Identify trends affecting financial performance and provide actionable insights to improve operating efficiency and maximize profitability.
- Address budget and forecast discrepancies with clear recommendations for improvement.
- Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports, providing executive leadership with clear performance insights.
- Utilize advanced modeling techniques to enhance accuracy and depth in financial reporting.
- Serve as the finance lead for special projects, offering analytical insights to support strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure financial considerations are integrated into major business decisions.
- Drive business growth by proactively identifying opportunities for financial optimization and efficiency.

What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
- A high level of accuracy in reporting, ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $70,000 - $100,000 CAD and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
