The Role
Reporting to the SVP of Technology Operations, the Senior FinOps Analyst is responsible for driving cloud financial visibility, governance, and operational discipline across BeyondTrust’s cloud environments. This role partners closely with Technology, Product, and Finance leadership to deliver executive-ready reporting, cost transparency, and actionable insights related to cloud spend across AWS and Azure environments.
The Senior FinOps Analyst plays a key role in improving financial accountability across a multi-product SaaS platform by establishing structured reporting, analyzing cost drivers, and supporting governance processes that enable leadership to make informed infrastructure investment decisions. This role will also support the implementation and operationalization of cloud financial governance tooling, including Kion.
This is a highly analytical individual contributor role that requires strong collaboration with engineering leaders and the ability to translate complex technical cost drivers into clear financial narratives for executive stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Own monthly and quarterly cloud financial reporting for Technology leadership, including executive-ready presentations and cost analysis.
- Analyze cloud spend across AWS and Azure environments, identifying key cost drivers, trends, and variances.
- Develop and deliver clear cost narratives and variance explanations for CTO, CFO, and Product leadership.
- Support product-level cloud cost visibility across multiple SaaS products and shared platform infrastructure.
- Partner with engineering and platform teams to improve cost transparency and financial accountability.
- Support implementation and operationalization of cloud governance and financial management tooling (including Kion).
- Establish and maintain a structured governance cadence for cloud financial reviews with product and engineering teams.
- Contribute to improving cloud cost allocation models and financial reporting processes.
- Collaborate with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to cloud infrastructure.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve cost transparency, reporting rigor, and financial operational maturity across the technology organization.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, cloud cost analytics, or related financial/technical analysis roles.
- Strong understanding of cloud cost structures and billing models in AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and cost drivers.
- Experience in preparing executive-level reporting and communicating financial insights to senior leadership.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and finance teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical cost drivers into clear business insights.
- Self-directed, organized, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Nice To Have
- Experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise software environments.
- Familiarity with cloud financial management tools such as Kion, CloudHealth, Apptio, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting multi-product cloud environments or platform architectures.
- Exposure to AI-forward, data-intensive, or large-scale cloud infrastructure environments.
- Experience supporting financial governance or FinOps maturity initiatives.
