What You'll Bring:
- Comprehensive knowledge of portfolio/program management practices in Agile and PDLC environments with 8+ years of delivery experience.
- Expert knowledge of agile principles; SAFe experience preferred.
- Strong business acumen with ability to link initiatives to strategic outcomes and measurable value.
- Experience in change management to guide teams through transformation.
- Ability to build and maintain partnerships and cross-functional alignment.
- Proficiency in PPM tools, Jira, Confluence, and advanced reporting capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP and Agile certifications preferred.
Impact You'll Make:
Reporting to the Director of Project Management, ePMO, you will ensure portfolio investments deliver measurable business value and align with TransUnion Canada's strategic priorities. Your leadership will accelerate our agile journey, improve decision-making through metrics, and strengthen governance and compliance. You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional stakeholders including Technology, Product, Info Security, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to drive alignment and transparency. By partnering with Product Management to implement global PDLC standards and fostering continuous improvement, you will help the organization achieve greater agility and responsiveness to market needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end portfolio management process, ensuring alignment to business strategy and measurable value delivery.
- Implement value-based prioritization and track benefits realization for all initiatives.
- Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards with metrics such as ROI, throughput and predictability.
- Facilitate portfolio planning and prioritization sessions, supporting agile maturity beyond SAFe practices.
- Coach stakeholders on agile portfolio principles and foster continuous improvement.
- Ensure robust risk and dependency management across the portfolio.
- Lead financial stewardship activities including forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and evolving funding models.
- Enhance stakeholder engagement through executive-level reporting and business case storytelling.
- Maintain governance, compliance, and regulatory standards while driving operational excellence.
- Own and drive portfolio planning and governance processes including intake, evaluation, approval of new initiatives, and decision gates.
- Run Portfolio Planning Committee (PPC) and manage Portfolio Operations Synch.
- Facilitate Strategic Portfolio Reviews with Lean Portfolio Management team to review, approve, and prioritize initiatives.
- Partner with Product Management to implement ways of working aligned to the global PDLC standard.
The expected pay range for this position is $131,000 - $201,000 annually. The pay information provided for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of many factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. In addition, variable compensation is based on applicable company guidance and plan documents as well as performance.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The opening is to backfill a previously held position.
