Summary Job Description: The mission of the Local Procurement Representative is to act as a relay between procurement and operations.
They also support supply chain activities & programs and contribute to saving targets while ensuring a good Service Level for Operations & Support Functions. The specialist will serve as a liaison between operations and suppliers for the four industrial sites currently in operation in Canada
Key Responsibilities
Identify the right internal stakeholder for specific need (Project, Contract, Category)
Support operations in their daily procurement needs. Execute local purchasing and manage local supplier relationships.
Manage local spend and perform analysis on local category cost base and suppliers to ensure delivery of spend targets.
Study and analyze reports
Oversee approval of accounts receivable and procurement
Can execute spot buy if needed on urgent cases
Ensure coaching and development of the administrative team when required.
Differentiating Criteria
Scope is local (usually one country or a few countries only)
Spend per individual contributor : >20m€
Required Qualifications
High school diploma
5 to 10 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of the industrial or factory environment is required
Highly organized
Be able to assert themselves
Must be able to travel to the industrial sites from time to time
