Summary Job Description:   The mission of the Local Procurement Representative is to act as a relay between procurement and operations.

They also support supply chain activities & programs and contribute to saving targets while ensuring a good Service Level for Operations & Support Functions. The specialist will serve as a liaison between operations and suppliers for the four industrial sites currently in operation in Canada

Key Responsibilities

• Identify the right internal stakeholder for specific need (Project, Contract, Category)

• Support operations in their daily procurement needs. Execute local purchasing and manage local supplier relationships.

• Manage local spend and perform analysis on local category cost base and suppliers to ensure delivery of spend targets.

• Study and analyze reports

• Oversee approval of accounts receivable and procurement

• Can execute spot buy if needed on urgent cases

• Ensure coaching and development of the administrative team when required.

Differentiating Criteria
Scope is local (usually one country or a few countries only)
Spend per individual contributor : >20m€

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma

•  5 to 10 years of relevant work experience

• Knowledge of the industrial or factory environment is required

• Highly organized

• Be able to assert themselves

• Must be able to travel to the industrial sites from time to time
