Are you a strategic, insurance‑savvy marketer who can translate complexity into clear, compelling value? Do you thrive in fast‑moving, pre‑sale environments where you help shape how solutions show up in the market? If so, we’d love to meet you!

What it’s like to be a Specialist, Product Marketing

As a Specialist, Product Marketing, you’ll play a critical role in our Go‑to‑Market (GTM) function—focused exclusively on pre‑sale enablement, new business growth, and helping bring prospective customers in the door. You’ll support development of differentiated product positioning and breakthrough sales enablement resources to drive awareness, understanding, and adoption of our insurance offerings. Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in the Pre-Sales journey by helping to bring our core product offerings to life through impactful marketing programs designed to resonate with both customers and sales partners.

You’ll be the connector between our insurance experts and our marketing team, ensuring our commercial and personal insurance offerings are positioned clearly and effectively for the audiences who need them most.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead Product-Focused Go-to-Market Activities: Support GTM planning and execution for new product launches, enhancements, and key transformation initiatives. Translate technical insurance expertise into clear, differentiated product positioning for pre‑sale audiences.

  • Enable and Support Sales: Provide direction and insights to teams building various marketing assets and collateral such as webpages, email campaigns, and other sales tools.

  • Be the Connector Between Product, Sales, and Marketing: Partner with Underwriting, Marketing, Customer Experience and other departments to ensure consistent message delivery across all touchpoints. Guide cross-functional teams on what needs to go to market, why, and how to get it across the finish line.

  • Drive Market Understanding: Conduct market and competitive analysis to shape product positioning. Solve business needs by determining what our customers and sales partners actually need to know—and the best way to communicate it. Monitor the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives and recommend ways to optimize future GTM efforts.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of marketing expertise and insurance industry experience.

What We're Looking For:

Experience & Knowledge

  • Post-secondary education in marketing or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience

  • Deep understanding of insurance operations—including processes, platforms, authorities, and regulations

  • Broad knowledge across multiple aspects of commercial and/or personal insurance

Skills & Strengths

  • Exceptional communicator able to translate technical information into clear, market-ready messaging

  • Strong relationship-building skills across diverse partners and teams

  • High initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to guide others through ambiguity

  • Strong planning, organizing, and project management abilities

  • Flexibility and adaptability in evolving environments

  • Confidence in presenting recommendations and driving outcomes

We really mean it when we say we put you first. Here are a few ways how:

  • Hybrid work! You get to work from the office and at home 50/50, allowing you to manage both worlds with the ease and flexibility you need

  • We offer competitive salaries and support your financial health through our employee share purchase plan, pension plans, RRSP, discounts on staff insurance, and more!

  • We help you prioritize your well-being from day one through flexible health benefits, early leave days, wellness programs, rewards, and recognition programs.

  • We are invested in helping you grow in your career through education assistance to complete your CIP, FCIP, CRM or other courses desired, internal mobility, Leadership training and mentoring programs.

  • NBFC cares about the community and supports the causes you believe in with donation matching and team volunteer days.

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $64,000 to $96,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.

This is a real opportunity — we’re actively hiring! If the role sounds like a good fit, we encourage you to apply. Beyond base pay, we offer a robust Total Rewards program that includes benefits, wellness support, and other meaningful perks.

We also want to be transparent about our hiring process. While one of our systems includes AI capabilities, over 99% of our screening is done by real people. We believe in thoughtful, human-centered hiring decisions, and are committed to giving every application the attention it deserves.
