Position Purpose
The Continuous Improvement Specialist will focus on creating accurate and meaningful measurement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and enhancing the visibility of data-driven insights across the organization. After analyzing KPIs, the Specialist will optimize processes and create production efficiencies through continuous improvement methodologies. This role will evaluate current processes and adapt them to increase productivity, streamline workflows, respond to changing business needs, or improve profitability. The team member will collaborate closely with all cross-functional members of the Sanimax team.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Develop and implement measurement frameworks to track and evaluate KPIs aligned with business goals.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define metrics and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand their data and reporting needs, provide data-driven recommendations, and ensure relevant data is available for decision-making.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by organizing workshops, facilitating improvement events, and recognizing achievements.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions.

  • Apply lean principles and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive process optimization and standardization.

  • Lead change management initiatives by effectively communicating the benefits of continuous improvement and overcoming resistance to change.

  • Provide training and coaching to employees at all levels to build a culture of continuous improvement and encourage the use of problem-solving tools and techniques.

  • Manage process improvement projects with team members, working across the organization to build consensus and implement internal systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Work with plant resources to maintain process reliability.

  • Accountable for cost savings and ROI based on specific initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business administration, operations management) or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing or operational environment.

  • Strong knowledge of lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement frameworks.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and statistical tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Change management experience and the ability to influence and inspire others.

  • Continuous improvement certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment involving process improvement.
