About The Role
The Software Requirement and Testing Analyst is responsible for verifying that software systems function as intended and comply with business, technical, and regulatory requirements. In addition to test planning and execution, this role will contribute to requirement gathering and documentation efforts—helping improve specification clarity, traceability, and validation coverage.
What You'll Do Here
Collaborate with business users and product owners to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clearly defined, user-focused requirements and specifications.
Document user stories, functional requirements, and testable specifications for internal systems and custom reports.
Develop test strategies, plans, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
Prepare, document, and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), including coordination and approval tracking.
Log, track, and validate defects using Azure DevOps, ensuring clear, auditable documentation throughout.
Ensure alignment between documented requirements and actual system behavior to support business acceptance and reduce validation gaps.
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities in collaboration with the development and product teams.
Support validation efforts and generate or maintain documentation needed for system qualification or audits.
Serve as a first-level support contact for end users when needed, delivering a high level of customer service.
Ensure testing and documentation practices comply with applicable regulatory standards relevant to clinical research (e.g., GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR).
What You'll Need to Succeed
College diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in software testing, requirements analysis, or QA roles.
Demonstrated experience in writing clear and complete functional specifications and test documentation.
ISTQB or similar testing/QA certification is an asset.
Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, SDLC).
Proficiency with Azure DevOps for requirement tracking, test case management, and defect logging.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in clinical research or regulated industries (e.g., CRO, pharma, healthcare) is an asset.
Familiarity with clinical operations systems is an asset.
Knowledge of regulatory standards such as GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, or GxP
Understanding of data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
