How You’ll Make An Impact

As a Senior Manager, you will lead multiple software development teams, driving both enhancements to existing applications and the creation of new products. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external collaborators to guide the analysis, design, development, and ongoing evolution of Boomi’s user interface, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop teams and leaders by setting clear goals, coaching for growth, and supporting career development in alignment with company policies and values.
  • Drive strategic alignment by collaborating with Product and Engineering leadership to define team charters, establish priorities, and ensure goals ladder up to company objectives (Boomi’s plan on a page).
  • Orchestrate delivery by planning, prioritizing, and coordinating development activities across Engineering, User Experience, Product, Support, and Customer Success to maximize customer value.
  • Measure and adapt by monitoring progress, leveraging actionable engineering metrics, and making data-informed adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Foster a high-performing culture that balances collaboration, innovation, accountability, and sustainable work practices.
  • Ensure technical excellence by advocating for best practices in scalability, stability, observability, and other core engineering standards.
  • Influence organizational systems by evolving processes, practices, and frameworks that help teams focus on delivering customer and business value.
  • Be accountable for outcomes and culture across multiple teams, ensuring both delivery impact and long-term organizational health.
  • Stay connected to the technology with a foundational understanding of the architectural and technical landscape in your area of ownership.

The Experience You Bring

  • Operational & Technical Fluency: Proficiency in software development, including all aspects such as frontend, backend, automation, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and managing production-grade software systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: A track record of partnering with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to drive delivery aligned with business goals.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Ability to operate independently, communicate proactively, and take full responsibility for outcomes, delivery, and team culture.
  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Ability to mentor engineers, support career development, and foster a high-performing, inclusive team environment.
  • Agile Execution & Metrics: Experience running Agile teams with a focus on lean delivery, using KPIs and metrics to guide progress and improvement.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • 6+ years of software development experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • 4+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to scale teams and organizations — hiring, building, and retaining diverse, high-impact engineering groups.
  • Strategic thinking — aligning engineering execution with business objectives and long-term product vision.
  • Operational excellence — skilled at metrics-driven management, setting and tracking KPIs/OKRs, and continuously improving delivery velocity and quality.
  • Change leadership — driving organizational transformations (e.g., re-orgs, platform migrations, or large-scale adoption of new practices/tools).
  • Cross-functional leadership — collaborating effectively with Product, Design, Support, and Customer Success to deliver customer and business value.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or similar).
  • Background in SaaS environments, with strong knowledge of multi-tenant architectures and delivery models.
  • Cloud platform experience, ideally with AWS (or equivalent).
  • Exposure to AI Copilot tools, leveraging them to enhance developer productivity and team efficiency.
  • Influence beyond immediate teams — shaping engineering culture, mentoring other leaders, and contributing to organizational strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills — adept at conveying technical and strategic concepts to executives and other senior stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits 

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position in our Vancouver hub ranges from $159,988 - $199,985 CAD annually + applicable bonus. Final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
