About the Role:

As a Software Engineer specializing in Front End Control Plane, you will play a pivotal role in the orchestration and autoscaling of our search platform's data plane. Your primary responsibility will be to develop intuitive and efficient control plane interfaces, serving as the initial touchpoint for users. Collaborating closely with designers, you will implement management and provisioning console interfaces, empowering users to effortlessly manage their serverless cloud deployments, whether self-hosted or on major cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, and EC2. Additionally, you will work across multiple job functions including designers and data plane engineers to ensure high quality development of user interface and experience designs and seamless integration with data plane search and secure identity access management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop user-friendly control plane interfaces for managing serverless cloud deployments.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate design concepts into functional interfaces.
  • Ensure seamless integration with secure identity access management systems.
  • Work closely with data plane engineers to align front end and back end functionalities.
  • Optimize interface performance for enhanced user experience.
  • Stay updated with emerging front end technologies and industry best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and WebGL.
  • Experience with front end frameworks and libraries (e.g., Angular, Vue.js).
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, and EC2.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiar with build systems (e.g., yarn, gradle)
  • Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Previous experience in search platform or similar data-intensive environments.
  • Solid software engineering foundations, with proven track record of designing and delivering high-quality solutions.
