What You’ll Do
- Support the team developing our secondary product, which is an ERP system for the flooring industry. Help migrate and modernize the stack from a C++ desktop environment to a cloud-based web offering.
- Drive the delivery of applications and services that power our visual experiences at scale.
- Manage and grow a team of talented software developers, focusing on mentorship, performance, and long-term career development.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering leads to align team initiatives with broader company priorities and ensure consistent execution.
- Establish and evolve team processes and technical practices to support high-velocity, high-quality software development.
- Partner with stakeholders and leadership to define and deliver on the product and platform roadmap.
- Support your team in designing scalable, observable, and maintainable systems, while keeping an eye on tech debt, reliability, and developer experience.
- Play a key role in hiring: evaluating candidates, onboarding new team members, and helping grow a diverse and inclusive engineering organization.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, reinforcing company values, and modeling excellence and accountability across the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience building scalable, production-grade backend systems.
- Experience owning mission-critical applications, services, and APIs..
- Strong technical instincts, able to guide architecture decisions, make trade-offs, and drive clarity through ambiguity.
- Proven track record of coaching and growing engineers at all levels, focusing on long-term growth and team health.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and autonomy is expected.
- Familiarity with our stack (React, Django, AWS) is a strong plus, but equivalent experience in similar environments is welcome.
