We are seeking a Software Development Intern to support the implementation of Intelcom’s Last Mile software. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a collaborative environment working on address coordination micro-services.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development, testing, and maintenance of software services using C# and React.

  • Collaborate to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code, along with comprehensive automated tests to ensure reliability and performance.

  • Use CI/CD practices to build, test and deploy code changes.

  • Participate in your team’s agile scrum sprints and ceremonies

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

  • Contribute to troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing the system.

  • Support the deployment of software updates and maintenance of system performance.

  • The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience with object-oriented software development with a language like C# or Java.

  • Knowledge of frontend frameworks like React, Angular or Vue.js is an asset.

  • Experience with AWS or Azure is an asset.

  • Strong understanding of data structures.

  • Experience designing and implementing relational databases is an asset

  • Logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
