About You

We are looking for a Software Developer to join AppDirect’s Firstbase Team. In this role, you will work to deliver cutting edge logistic solutions for our enterprise clients and direct customers, working closely on an Agile Team.

Recently acquired by AppDirect, the Firstbase team empowers the hardware lifecycle management and hardware purchase offering on the AppDirect Marketplace. The team is focused on building interactions between AppDirect and Firstbase while maintaining and growing Firstbase's existing user base and product offerings.

What you’ll do and how you’ll make an impact

• Maintain and enhance Firstbase Offerings while enriching AppDirect’s ecosystems with Firstbase functionality;
• Build robust and scalable REST and GraphQL APIs using Java framework; 
• Design and implement unit tests using JUnit to ensure the quality of the code;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Product Managers, QA Engineers; Technical Consultants, Support Staff and Account Managers;
• Participate in Kanban development methodology;
• Utilize MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB  for database management and ensure data integrity.

What we’re looking for

• B.S. degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field;
• 2+ years of experience developing in Java, Kotlin ;
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles.
• Strong understanding of Java frameworks such as Spring Framework;
• Experience with React;
• Experience with building REST and graphQL APIs;
• Proficiency in unit testing using JUnit;
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, MySQL and NoSQL databases;
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, SQS, SNS;
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes;
• Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols;
• Familiarity with Kanban development methodology;
