Job Summary

Job Description

The SharePoint Administrator shall manage the function and activity of the business’s SharePoint environment, including site collections, internal/external permissions, and settings for native and custom SharePoint applications. The activities include troubleshooting site issues, maintaining the Nidec Motor Corporation’s tenant Intranet Site, and performing analysis of the environment.  The Administrator will provide guidance for the company’s SharePoint end users, ensures SharePoint functionality, and addresses and resolves any issues with the software performance.

  • Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enforcing Nidec’s SharePoint Online governance model and information architecture
  • Monitors SharePoint performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Manages and revises the layout of the tenant site.
  • Monitors announcements of Microsoft updates to SharePoint Online software and advise management and users as needed.
  • Provides technical support for SharePoint users using ServiceNow incident system. May include conducting training and informational sessions.
  • Collaborates with management, other developers, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs
  • Acts as liaison between stakeholders and developers for custom development projects.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Understanding of both Classic and Modern SharePoint experience frameworks.
  • Familiarity with additional Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure is preferred but not required.

• Requires understanding of basic context of technical and business environment, typically obtained through advanced education; may have limited to no experience
