Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Workday Analyst Partner to join our HR Technology team as a trusted strategic advisor and solutions expert. This role bridges the gap between HR functional teams—such as Centers of Excellence (COEs)—and Workday capabilities, driving optimization, innovation, and efficiency across our global HR systems landscape.

The ideal candidate combines deep Workday expertise with strong business acumen, acting as a partner to People & Places stakeholders. While this is not a primarily hands-on configuration role, a solid understanding of Workday functionality and the ability to support hands-on problem-solving is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to People & Places COEs, helping them identify opportunities to improve their existing use of Workday to better support business objectives

  • Collaborate with People & Places teams and leaders to evaluate current business processes and recommend Workday-driven enhancements for scalability, automation, and user experience

  • Serve as a key escalation point for system issues and bugs; diagnose root causes and propose efficient, system-aligned solutions

  • Maintain deep understanding of Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Reporting, etc.) and how they interact

  • Work closely with People & Places COEs, HRIS teams, IT, and external consultants to ensure solutions are aligned across functional and technical teams

  • Provide input on change management strategies, including training, communications, and stakeholder engagement when rolling out Workday fixes and enhancements

  • Contribute to the development of the Workday roadmap by identifying and prioritizing strategic enhancements, in partnership with COEs and People Insights & Solutions Design partners on new functionality

  • Lead and drive Workday R1 &R2 Release management for the People Data and Systems team and work closely with IT teams to evaluate overall impact of new features, enhancements and retired/deprecated features

  • Perform light configuration, testing, or data validation as needed, especially during major projects, upgrades, troubleshooting critical issues, or in urgent business situations that require additional assistance and support

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Workday in a functional or techno-functional capacity, with deep exposure to multiple modules

  • Proven experience acting as a liaison between HR functional teams and technical system support

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, consultative approach

  • Solid understanding of HR processes and how they are operationalized within Workday

  • Ability to translate business needs into system requirements and scalable solutions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage and influence a diverse group of stakeholders

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization

  • Workday certification(s) in one or more modules

  • Experience supporting Workday releases and tenant optimization efforts

  • Familiarity with change management and business process reengineering

  • Maintenir une compréhension approfondie des modules Workday HCM (Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Reporting, etc.) et de leurs interactions

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les centres d’expertise (COE) People & Places, les équipes SIRH, le service informatique et les consultants externes afin de garantir la cohérence des solutions entre les équipes fonctionnelles et techniques

  • Apporter votre contribution aux stratégies de gestion du changement, notamment en matière de formation, de communication et d’implication des parties prenantes lors du déploiement des corrections et des améliorations de Workday

  • Contribuer à l’élaboration de la feuille de route Workday en identifiant et en hiérarchisant les améliorations stratégiques, en partenariat avec les COE et les partenaires People Insights & Solutions Design concernant les nouvelles fonctionnalités

  • Diriger et piloter la gestion des versions R1 et R2 de Workday pour l'équipe People Data and Systems et travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes informatiques afin d'évaluer l'impact global des nouvelles fonctionnalités, des améliorations et des fonctionnalités retirées ou obsolètes

  • Effectuer des tâches légères de configuration, de test ou de validation des données selon les besoins, en particulier lors de projets majeurs, de mises à niveau, de dépannage de problèmes critiques ou dans des situations opérationnelles urgentes nécessitant une assistance et un soutien supplémentaires

Qualifications Minimales

  • Au moins 5 ans d’expérience avec Workday dans un rôle fonctionnel ou techno-fonctionnel, avec une connaissance approfondie de plusieurs modules

  • Expérience avérée en tant qu’intermédiaire entre les équipes fonctionnelles RH et le support technique des systèmes

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $92,000 and $134,200. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
