Job Overview

  • Developing, implementing, managing, and validating statistical-based custom analytics for pharmaceutical client engagements to help answer complex business questions.

Required knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of statistical methods for indirect treatment comparison, including network meta-analysis (NMA), multilevel network meta-regression, simulated treatment comparison, and matching-adjusted indirect comparison (MAIC).
  • Hands on experience conducting Bayesian analyses and ITCs in R is a must.
  • Deep understanding of applicable guidelines in the pharmaceutical industry is a must, not limited to NICE DSU, EuNHTA, FDA

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement HTA compliant statistical analysis, SAP, shareable codes, and directly usable output
  • Strong written and oral communication with the ability to explain methods, options, and rationale to clients; lead discussions with client’s statistician
  • Collaborating closely with project managers to create timelines for the project and to ensure that project results and conclusions are presented accurately and without bias.
  • Understanding the contracted scope of work, proactively identifying potential out-of-scope activities and bringing to the attention of the project leader.
  • Working with consulting principals and sales team on business development effort by providing ad-hoc feasibility reports, providing estimations of effort and developing methodologies that address client needs.
  • Managing the development work for urgent and/or complex projects requiring programming and statistical models in SAS, R or other software packages.
  • Contributing to the development innovative methodologies and new offerings. Creating and refining best practices and approaches.
  • Mentoring junior team members. Potential for direct people management based on desire and prior experience.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, or a related field with 4+ years of academia or industry experience; or a Master's degree in these areas with 8 years’ experience
  • Demonstrated organizational skills necessary to manage a project from concept to completion.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Innovative thinking in conceptualizing products and services, with knowledge of Bayesian statistics, along with a commitment to independent personal development with new methods in new database sources.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a must.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $120,700.00 - $201,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
