What you will do
- Contribute to Sysdig's scale-out effort by designing and building backend features that handle increasing customer demand and data volume, reporting to Sr. Manager, Engineering.
- Develop scalable APIs and services that power runtime threat detection, policy enforcement, and alerting.
- Work with a team of engineers to evolve architecture for reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product, Threat Research, Frontend, Design, and Customer-facing teams to create features with impact.
- Handle real-time and historical security data across multi-cloud environments including Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and IBM Cloud.
- Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and operational support of services your team owns.
What you will bring with you
- 7+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, in algorithms, data structures, systems design, and large-scale distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience designing and building scalable backend services, including APIs and data processing pipelines.
- Experience with Go, Java, or C++ in production environments.
- Experience with containerized workloads and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Experience logging best practices and emitting useful metrics for observability and troubleshooting of distributed systems.
- Experience with AI tools to increase your and your team's productivity.
- Experience building or operating security products is a plus.
