Perform recordkeeping and administrative responsibilities for the Northwestern Mutual home office and field retirement plans. Ensure accurate benefit illustrations and participant data within established service-level timeframes.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creates precise benefit quotes for retirement plan participants using automated and semi-automated procedures.
- Processes and verifies retirement benefit transactions to ensure accurate participant data and segregation of duties.
- Utilizes existing spreadsheet tools to determine participant-level data adjustments.
- Responds to questions from Human Resources and Field Rewards clients regarding work output and basic operations of retirement plans.
- Independently identifies and researches questionable data, resolving the majority of issues without escalation.
- Participates in ad hoc projects and completes other team-specific responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Associate degree in business or equivalent combination of education and coursework
- Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience, preferably with retirement benefits
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on numerical detail
- Ability to grasp the interconnectedness of team workflows
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Windows
