Position Description: 

ParTech, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Senior Software Engineer to join our Brink Point-of-Sale (POS) software development team. The QA Senior Software Engineer will, under general supervision and adhering to established procedures for quality assurance design and implement test strategies related to POS software. The QA Senior Software Engineer will coordinate, create, execute and maintain test cases to ensure quality control standards are achieved. The QA Senior Software Engineer will be involved in system, regression, and performance and scalability testing to meet quality objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

Requirements:

· Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering or related field required.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in the software industry

· Strong functional testing background, including defining test strategy, test planning, test case design, and execution

· Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, often with changing requirements as needed

· Must be detail oriented, reliable and have the ability to work both in a team environment and alone with minimal direction and supervision

· Project experience using an Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum)

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

· Comfortable leading all aspects of the teams’ testing

· Designs test reporting and metrics appropriate to project needs

· Assesses solution risk and assists project team in prioritizing test efforts

· Selects and configures appropriate toolsets to effectively manage testing

· Develops detailed testing approach and plans for specific test areas or overall plans for teams

· Produces status reports and quality metrics

· Facilitates defect triage and manages overall defect resolution process

· Conducts test case reviews and ensures requirements traceability, proper coverage

· Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing sufficient details to understand, replicate and resolve the defect

· Designs test strategies and test cases for complex systems and execute various types of testing (e.g. functional, integration, end-to-end) on a variety of platforms (e.g. mobile, web, portal frameworks)

· Technical mentoring of junior team members

· Comfortable flexing from leading a test team to performing hands-on test related activities

· Assist teams in determining appropriate quality goals and acceptance criteria

· Champions Agile Best Testing Practices - Shares knowledge and help build skills of other team members of the Quality Assurance team
