Senior QA Automation

Our growing team is looking for a Senior Quality Automation Developer with a passion for delivering high-quality products to the customer. As a Senior Quality Automation team member, you will play a key role in ensuring that our project deliverables are shipped while helping to set up related QA processes according to standard methodologies. This will provide support to the MaintainX Engineering and Product Management teams.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and implement a robust QA automation strategy from scratch for both web and mobile applications.
• Set up the automation framework, selecting appropriate tools and technologies to meet the company's requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA engineers to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure the quality and reliability of test automation code.
• Establish best practices, guidelines, and standards for QA automation development.
• Monitor and analyze test results, identifying and reporting issues and defects in a timely manner.
• Work closely with QA engineers to integrate automated tests into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work with relevant teams to define and execute ideas to realize the opportunities.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in QA automation, incorporating new tools and techniques as appropriate.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-8 years in QA, with 3+ years focused on mobile app testing.
• Proven experience in QA automation, including setting up frameworks, code reviews, and enforcing quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, full development lifecycle, and both White Box and Black Box testing.
• Proficient with test management tools (XRay, TestRail) and automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Detox).
• Hands-on experience with programming languages (TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python).
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD).
• Strong understanding of web/mobile technologies, Agile methodologies, and API testing tools (Postman, Pytest, SoapUI).
• Skilled in root cause analysis and driving continuous improvement.

Nice to Have:

• You have gone through a rapid growth in your company (from startup to mid-size).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of the Rapid software testing methodology.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (domain).
