Company Description

Assent is the leading solution for supply chain sustainability tailored for the world’s top-tier, sustainability-driven manufacturers. Hidden risks riddle supply chains, many of which weren't built with sustainability in mind. That's where we step in. With insights from experts, Assent is the tool manufacturers trust for comprehensive sustainability.

We are proud to announce that Assent has crossed the US$100M ARR milestone, granting us Centaur Status. This accomplishment, reached just 8 years following our Series A, makes us the first and only Certified B Corporation in North America's SaaS sustainability industry to celebrate this milestone.

Our journey from $5 million to US$100M ARR in just eight years has been marked by significant growth and achievements. With our $350 million US funding led by Vista Equity Partners, we're poised for even greater expansion and are on the lookout for outstanding team members to join our mission.

Job Description

The Senior Product Manager at Assent is a true owner of product success, accountable for identifying high-impact opportunities, making sound investment decisions, and ensuring meaningful value is realized for both customers and the business.

You will operate with significant autonomy and influence, owning outcomes for your product area while collaborating closely with the broader Product Management team to shape product strategy, investment priorities, and execution across Assent’s portfolio. This role requires strong commercial judgment, deep customer empathy, and the ability to synthesize insights from data, the market, and internal stakeholders into clear decisions and execution plans.

Assent operates in a uniquely complex and meaningful domain at the intersection of global supply chains, product compliance, sustainability, and data. Our products increasingly rely on large-scale data, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to help customers navigate evolving regulatory requirements with confidence. If you are energized by solving hard, real-world problems with real consequences, and motivated by building products that make the world more responsible and transparent, this role offers both challenge and purpose.

  • Own opportunity identification and product strategy

    • Identify, size, and prioritize high-impact opportunities grounded in customer insight, market dynamics, product analytics, and win-loss analysis

    • Clearly articulate the customer problem, business value, differentiation, and success metrics through concise, evidence-backed initiative briefs

    • Define and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned to Assent’s business goals

    • Make informed trade-off and investment decisions to maximize value realization

    • Collaborate with fellow Product Managers and Product Leaders to align strategy, priorities, and sequencing across the broader product portfolio

  • Build data-centric and AI-enabled products in a complex domain

    • Develop a deep understanding of Assent’s data ecosystem, including supply chain data, regulatory content, and customer-generated signals

    • Identify opportunities where automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities can meaningfully improve customer outcomes, efficiency, and scalability

    • Partner with Engineering, Data, and Design to shape intelligent, trustworthy solutions that balance rigor, usability, and transparency

    • Navigate evolving regulations, ambiguous requirements, and imperfect data to deliver resilient and scalable product capabilities

  • Drive outcomes through strong product craft and execution

    • Lead discovery with Design and Engineering to ensure solutions are desirable, viable, feasible, and usable

    • Synthesize complex inputs into clear, referenceable product documentation that enables alignment and effective execution

    • Partner with Product Owners to translate strategy into well-structured epics, stories, and acceptance criteria

    • Guide delivery through continuous collaboration, scope refinement, and timely decision-making

    • Oversee Pilot and Early Access phases and evaluate success using clear metrics, data, and customer feedback

  • Collaborate and influence across the business

    • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and GTM teams on pricing, positioning, launches, and adoption

    • Communicate roadmaps, priorities, and outcomes clearly to internal and external audiences

    • Champion your products while remaining closely attuned to customer and stakeholder feedback

    • Support critical customer escalations, balancing urgency, impact, and long-term product health

Qualifications

We strongly value your talent, energy and passion. It will also be valuable to Assent if you have the following qualifications

  • Eight or more years of Product Management experience in a SaaS environment

  • Proven ability to drive commercial outcomes, not just deliver features

  • Strong product judgment and comfort making decisions with imperfect information

  • Experience building or evolving data-centric products; exposure to AI-enabled capabilities is a strong plus

  • Deep experience collaborating with Engineering and Design in empowered product teams

  • A collaborative product mindset; you take ownership of your area while contributing to the success of the broader Product Management team

  • Comfort influencing across functions and levels with clarity and credibility

  • Experience in supply chain, product compliance, sustainability, manufacturing, or other regulated domains is a strong plus

  • High standards for product quality, clarity of thinking, and execution

  • A genuine desire to build products that create positive real-world impact
