About the Role:

Help us reinvent how fleets turn data into action. As the Senior Product Designer for Motive Analytics, you’ll be the design lead for our next-generation reporting and analytics suite. You’ll partner with product, data, and engineering teams to translate complex business questions into intuitive, high-performance dashboards and self-serve tools that empower customers of every technical level.

What You’ll Do:
  • Own the analytics UX end-to-end – from problem framing and research through polished UI and QA.
  • Deep-dive into customer workflows (enterprise reporting, compliance, cost optimization, safety) to surface the highest-impact use-cases.
  • Design customizable reports & dashboards that balance power and simplicity—drag-and-drop building, flexible filters, and shareable views.
  • Champion performance & scalability by collaborating with data-engineering on query efficiency, load-state patterns, and graceful error handling.
  • Prototype and validate data-visualization concepts quickly, using real or representative data whenever possible.
  • Ship, measure, iterate. Set success metrics, listen to quantitative / qualitative feedback, and refine for continual improvement.
  • Contribute to our design system with analytics-specific components and visualization guidelines.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years designing complex web products; at least 2 in data-heavy or analytics domains
  • A portfolio that shows elegant solutions to gnarly information-architecture and data-visualization problems
  • Fluency with BI/analytics paradigms (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Looker, Tableau) and the trade-offs between power and usability
  • Expertise in interaction, interface, and visual design; able to move from low-fi flows to polished prototypes swiftly
  • Proven ability to drive alignment across product, engineering, and data stakeholders through crisp storytelling and documentation
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous spaces and turning complexity into clarity
  • Bonus: knowledge of accessibility standards for data viz, or experience designing for performance-constrained environments
