As a Senior Product Designer, you will own the design process from research to prototyping, collaborate with engineers, and ensure a user-centered design approach.
Planned is an AI-native event management platform that helps companies streamline their meetings & events booking process. We make it easy for anyone to plan successful events while giving finance teams the visibility and control they need to maximize their budget. Planned has already worked with over 200 companies across North America, such as; PwC, L'Oréal, Google, Samsung & Airbnb.
We're on a mission to disrupt a $500+ billion industry. To achieve that, we want to work with brilliant minds and natural leaders who are driven to out-think, out-plan, and outperform the competition. We tackle every business decision with enthusiasm, and we love the work that we do!
Your Role
- Own design work end-to-end on real product features: research, ideation, prototyping, and iteration - with support from the team.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to bring your designs to life, and contribute to a shared design system that scales across the product.
- Build genuine understanding of our users through research, testing, and tight loops with Product and Customer Success.
- Communicate your thinking clearly - through docs, walkthroughs, or working sessions - so the whole team can give good feedback and stay aligned.
About You
- Sharp visual and interaction instincts - you have a point of view on what "great" looks like and can articulate why.
- You use AI tools as a natural part of how you work - for research, ideation, prototyping, writing, or building.
- Curious and self-directed - you figure things out, ask good questions, and don't wait to be told what to do next.
- Think beyond the screen - you consider the full user journey, not just individual flows.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration - you know when to go hi-fi and when a rough sketch is the right tool.
- You work well with engineers and don't see handoff as a wall - you'd rather just build it together.
What Makes You Stand Out
- You can prototype in code: Framer, React, TailwindCSS, or just enough Next.js to make something feel real.
- You're at the intersection of design and engineering - you've shipped something, even if it was a side project.
- You have a portfolio that shows taste, judgment, and range
- Culture of high performance, strong talent density and in-person collaboration
- Unlimited PTO
- Competitive comp packages packages
- All the tools and gear you need to be successful (Macbook Pro, screens, mouse, keyboard, Claude, Cursor, Figma, etc)
- Health, dental, vision, psychology insurance
- Professional development subsidy
- Bus pass subsidy or indoor parking
- Stocked up snack bar & lunches in office 2x per week
- Dog-friendly office
- Relocation assistance, if needed
