Job Description:
As a Senior BI Developer in our Market & Business Intelligence function you will be a catalyst for insightful decisions. If your expertise lies in Power BI development, data visualization, and automation, and you have a strong interest in transforming complex data into clear and compelling insights, this role is for you. You will play a critical role in designing advanced dashboards, automating reporting workflows, and enabling stakeholders to access timely and reliable insights through scalable analytics solutions. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Intelligence & Innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and visual analytics solutions
- Build and maintain robust data models using Power Query and DAX to support scalable and reusable reporting
- Develop automated data pipelines and reporting workflows to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency
- Leverage automation tools such as Power Automate to streamline data refreshes, alerts, and insights distribution.
- Translate business requirements into clear, visually compelling, and automated reporting solutions
- Optimize Power BI reports and datasets for performance, reliability, and enterprise scale usage with APIs
- Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources such as PitchBook, PREQIN, Capital IQ, iLEVEL and DealCloud
- Collaborate closely with operational teams, deal teams, and other stakeholders to support visualizations through the investment cycle, and strategic initiatives
- Support ad hoc analytical requests and exploratory analysis through Power BI
- Stay current on Power BI capabilities, automation tools, and data visualization best practices
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information
Required Experience and Skills:
- 5 or more years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data visualization roles, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong hands-on expertise with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and automated workflows
- Demonstrated experience building advanced dashboards and automated reporting solutions
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and storytelling
- Experience working with structured datasets and relational data models
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Business intelligence experience in finance, private equity, consulting, or corporate environments is a plus but not required
- Financial and accounting knowledge is considered an asset but is not mandatory
- Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.
