What You'll DoIn this role, you'll focus on the development and optimization of low level geometry components using Vex and HDK. Your responsibilities include creating and maintaining geometry processing modules that form the backbone of production tools, while also engaging in C++ development for both Houdini and Unreal Engine-related tasks. You'll design scalable and high-performing systems that support a range of creative processes and tackle complex integration issues. Your technical expertise in C++ will be used to incorporate existing processing libraries such as CGAL into Quixel's photogrammetry processing pipeline as well as researching and integrating other white papers using Vex and HDK.
In this role, you will- Develop and optimize core pipeline components.
- Create and maintain geometry processing modules that form the backbone of Quixel’s production tools.
- Engage in C++ development for Houdini and Unreal Engine-related tasks.
- Tackle complex integration issues, incorporating libraries such as CGAL and Unreal Engine's mesh processing tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate these solutions into Quixel's photogrammetry processing pipeline.
- Proven expertise in C++ programming, VEX & HKD, with a strong foundation in developing robust low level tools for manipulating geometry.
- Practical experience with Houdini and Unreal Engine, including integrating libraries like CGAL and mesh processing tools.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple time zones.
- Excellent communication skills, including the capacity for clear, concise weekly progress reporting.
- A detail-oriented approach, with a proactive mindset for continuous improvement in production workflows.
This role is open to multiple locations in North America and Europe (excluding CA, NY, & WA).
