About the role

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving process improvements for higher team velocity. You will extend the reach of product managers, engineering managers and Customer Success, allowing them to focus on their primary functions. You will act as the objective source of truth on program health and status, manage dependencies, resolve cross-team issues, and influence outcomes for the betterment of the business. By demonstrating technical aptitude and fluency, you will build trust and technical credibility with engineering teams.

We are looking for someone who is open to collaborative hybrid work in either the Bay Area, CA or Denver, CO.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic goals.
  • Provide structure and guardrails for teams to become more consistent in their practices, while allowing flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
  • Proactively track progress, resolve dependencies, assess risks, and communicate status to engineering leadership, project stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Drive process improvements that enable faster, more effective delivery and higher team velocity.
  • Act as the objective source of truth on program health and outcomes, ensuring transparency across the organization.
  • Influence and collaborate across multiple functions including engineering, product, design, security, compliance, customer support, and go-to-market teams.
  • Enable PMs and EMs to make data-driven decisions by defining, tracking, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication across all stakeholders to ensure alignment on program progress, priorities, and decisions.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships, negotiating competing priorities and balancing trade-offs to achieve the best outcome for the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, or a similar role within a technology organization.
  • Proven experience managing complex SaaS engineering programs from inception to delivery.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with project and program management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Strong familiarity with Scrum or Agile frameworks is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement only the most necessary  process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Be more biased in driving for the right outcomes instead of driving for processes.
  • Experience defining, tracking, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with a track record of fostering strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Technical aptitude and fluency, with the ability to build trust and credibility with engineering teams.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
