What we’re looking for

As the Senior Manager, Product Design (Growth and Operations), you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping our platform’s growth, billing and personalization experience strategy for our platform. You will also drive our team’s Design Ops function. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of designers while also working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, user-centered designs that elevate our product. This is a "player-coach" role, where you will lead by example, providing hands-on design expertise while also empowering and mentoring your team to excel.

What you’ll be working on

  • Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of product designers, fostering a collaborative, creative, and high-performing design culture.
  • Design Strategy: Lead the design vision for complex, multi-faceted platforms, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and user needs.
  • Product Design: Lead product design for B2B2C SaaS platforms, ensuring the highest standards in usability, accessibility, and visual design.
  • Design Operations Strategy & Execution: Oversee and execute design operations, streamlining processes and workflows to increase efficiency and ensure quality across the design team.
  • Mentorship & Development: Guide and mentor junior and mid-level designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering continuous learning and growth.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver on product goals and timelines.
  • Data-Driven Design: Use data and analytics to inform design decisions, ensuring user-centric outcomes that drive business impact.
  • Designing for Growth: Bring expertise in designing for growth, particularly in a product-led growth (PLG) environment, ensuring designs align with user acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies.
  • Personalization: Leverage personalization strategies to create tailored experiences for users, increasing conversions and engagement.
  • Storytelling: Use strong storytelling skills to communicate design decisions, vision, and impact to both internal stakeholders and external audiences.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in product design, with 5-8 years of experience managing and leading design teams.
  • Design Leadership: Proven experience in leading product design teams, especially in delivering elegant solutions for complex platforms.
  • B2B2C SaaS: Extensive experience designing for B2B2C SaaS platforms, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities they present.
  • Player-Coach Mentality: Comfortable in a hands-on design role, providing direct design support to your team when necessary.
  • Design Operations: Experience leading and optimizing design operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality outputs.
  • Mentorship & Talent Development: Strong background in mentoring designers and developing their skills, helping them grow both professionally and personally.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive design solutions from concept to delivery.
  • Storytelling & Communication: Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of articulating design decisions and strategy to diverse audiences.
  • Data-Driven Design: Comfort with using data and analytics to inform design decisions and improve product outcomes.
  • Growth Experience: Proven experience designing for growth, particularly in a PLG environment, and optimizing user experiences for conversion and retention.
  • Personalization Expertise: Experience in designing personalized experiences that cater to individual user needs and preferences.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that every design element serves the broader product and user goals.
