We’re hiring for a role within our Global Communications and Marketing (GCM) team.
Join our agile team of marketers and digital communicators. We act as trusted advisors to the business, delivering regional and global campaigns which support growth in all the regions we operate in across the Engineering Services sector.
In this role, you will report to the Global VP of Marketing and Digital Communications, the role is part of the Marketing & Digital Communications Center of Expertise (COE), working collaboratively with other COEs (Brand, Creative Design, External Communications, Internal Communications) and the Canadian Communications & Marketing Business Partner.
The Senior Manager, Marketing Communications is responsible for planning, developing, and executing integrated marketing communication strategies that enhance brand awareness, support business objectives, and drive engagement across multiple channels. Your work will directly contribute to business growth, brand positioning and attracting and retaining talent across the Canadian Engineering Services sector.
To succeed, you’ll need a strong understanding of the global Engineering Services market and the built environment, the markets AtkinsRealis works within, including its competitive and client landscape. You will be able to provide Marketing Communications best-practice guidance and support to the Canadian Marketing team, leveraging global and regional synergies, content and resources whilst ensuring all campaigns land appropriately for each targeted audience.
Your role- Contribute Marketing & Digital Communications expertise to Canadian plans developed with the Business Partner and in collaboration with other COEs which align to regional business objectives and priorities for growth.
- Ensure messaging and content consistency across Canadian markets aligning to global messaging and market narratives.
- Use market insights, customer feedback and perceptions to differentiate all marketing activities - driving brand positioning, business goals, and market growth.
- Lead delivery of Marketing and Digital Communications of campaign content across Canada, utilising integrated channels, including digital marketing, social media, podcasts, thought leadership, client-facing assets, and events, ensuring the campaigns are targeted to local market and specific audiences.
- Oversee Canadian digital marketing activities, including paid digital, social media, email marketing, marketing automation, SEO/SEM, and web content updates, ensuring alignment with global governance and KPIs.
- Collaborate with business development, win work, market teams and subject matter experts to communicate client value propositions, products, and services to target audiences.
- Manage marketing communications resource ensuring they are connected to the wider global team, agile, motivated, engaged, effectively developed and coached in their work and careers.
- Proactively engage with internal stakeholders updating on project progress.
- Record, measure and evaluate all deliverables and celebrate success.
- Mange allocated budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience working in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to think strategically, see the big picture, and align with broader company objectives
- Significant experience of leadership within a marketing communications function with a track record of growing capability, driving best practice and continuous improvement as well as attracting and developing talent
- Ability to demonstrate success in similar marketing communications leadership roles, with global or multi-region responsibility in a matrix organisation.
- Highly collaborative, able to work effectively within a team as well as independently, and comfortable engaging with diverse personality styles and management levels—both in person and across states/geographies.
- Cross-market strategic thinking and ability to manage complexity across markets.
- Strong managerial skills. Ability to coach, mentor and guide all team members, direct and indirect reports. Strong leadership and collaboration skills with remote teams.
- Expertise in cross-cultural communication and localization strategies.
- Creative flair, strong initiative and confidence to propose, develop, share, and execute ideas.
- Exceptional project management and prioritization skills; organized and detail-oriented.
- End-to-end event management experience, including industry conferences and client events.
- Focused on measuring performance and making data-driven decisions.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to report to and collaborate with senior leadership.
- The drive and determination to deliver excellent outcomes in a deadline-driven environment whilst maximising return on investment.
- Full fluency in English and French, including speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication. *
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with keen attention to detail.
